Facts of Five...by Angel-Kitty!

If you are reading my Nee Nee’s blog for the first time let me explain Facts of Five. It was a concept she used when she taught students with special needs in a self-contained classroom. She presented a category such as ‘five cartoons’ or ‘five items to eat on your pizza’ and the students had to consider an idea that fit the group. She said it was fun, yet thought generating and in the meantime, she was able to get to know what was important to her students.
So I decided to use idea but shhhh, don’t tell her! Okay everyone, our category for today is five Joys of my Life! And I’ll begin…
1.)    Nap time is plentiful…just search for a willing participant, lie on top of willing participant,  get real cozy then close eyes and doze away.

2.) The computer is always available…well, not always since I have to share with my Nee Nee, but the box is there for the taking when she’s not around. At this time, I can read and catch up with friends at the touch of a button.  Truth be told, I also like when that little line moves across the page. I just can never quite make it stop...

3.) On Sunday, the newspaper comes and I get to help the parents peruse the ads. This is not an easy task as I have to climb under and over the sheets of print, hide out under the pages and then pounce on the wiggling pieces when Nee Nee uses those sharp things to cut out c’pons. I have to be very careful not to slice my paw. I know, this is tough work, but as they say, someone has to do it!

4.)  Did you know some of my friends are famous movie stars? I know they would be devastated if I didn’t keep up with their shows so I sit front and center and tune in to the ‘tube.

5.)  Exercise is a must if a girl wants to keep her lovely figure. I read what Hurricane said about me getting a little pudgy in the middle and while I was highly offended, he just might be right. Sometimes Nee Nee has to help me up on the washer just to have my breakfast. It IS a tad embarrassing! So I stick to do my daily workout of finding things that belong to my humans, make them my play toys and then hide them under the fridge. Is it my fault if they can't find them?

6.)  Oopppss, I forgot how to count! I said five, didn’t I? Well, the final joy of my list (although I do have plenty more…) is I get to hang out and be cute. Does that sound self-centered? Far be it for me to be egotistical, but well, It IS all about me, you know!

and you thought the only thing I do in life is torment my brother; HAH! ...fooled you~

He Said...She Said~

You know, since the publication of my book, Life through the Eyes of a Hurricane: Doggie-Dog!  Nee Nee hasn’t even asked me to write on her blog. My feelings are so hurt and I’ve felt so dejected so I’ve been pouting.  I realize it’s been a long time, perhaps a couple months? I hope you didn’t forget about me.
Anyway, after the time that has passed, you can imagine my dismay, my horror to get on here and read that Angel-Kitty, my very own sister has thrown me under the bus.  She has made ME out to be the villain -the wicked guy in this family!

Do you believe all the fibs she has told about me?  I am appalled! I am shocked!
Just look at this photo and you will see how warm and wonderful I am to my little sis…I share my bed with her, I keep her safe by setting off the alarm system, and I provide her with daily exercise by chasing her around the house.
SHHHhhhh, don’t tell her I told you this but she is getting a little pudgy around the middle. In fact, the humans put her food bowl on top of the washer when its super-duper supper time just so I won’t consume her meal; even though I just want a little nibble…anyway, she hurdles with difficulty and has to be hoisted like a rickety car onto a tow truck just to eat…HEE, HEE! …but I’ll deny it if you tell her I said that!

And she has the audacity to say the things she does about me? She utters I shut her in the closet? Did she happen to convey to you that when MY sister accidently on-purpose got closed in the wardrobe box that I positioned myself outside the door to keep her company? I did not once leave the room! Well, that was until Big Daddy arrived home! Then I raced to the door to communicate to him to release her. Was it my fault he wanted to take me for my walk around the ‘hood and I forgot to pass on the news?
Geez Louise…last time I try to be a good brother to her! Next time she’s cold see if I huddle up with her to keep her warm.  And when she bites my ear to get me to play with her, instead of being tolerant, I’ll just lean over and bite her tail! That’ll teach her…she’d look funny with a miniature stub of a tail.

Sisters….anyone want one?

Hey, it's Me, Angel-Kitty!

Far be it for me to be crabby and ill-tempered, but I thought it necessary to point out some upsetting occurrences in this house in which I live. NOT that I’m complaining or anything since the folks and the kid are real nice to me but I must say, “THAT DOG!”

But really, who does he think he is anyway? You’d think he wrote this great book that was published about him or something. I get treated like a second class citizen among these walls in which I exist.

For instance, when it’s nap time, I scamper to Big D and Nee Nee’s bed. I turn ‘round and ‘round in a circle to find the perfect place, plop down on the blanket and pull the covers up close around me. I tuck my nose inside my front paws to count mice before I drift off to sleep and THUMP!

CRIPES… Hurricane, do you have to be such a lug? I mean, Geez Louise, there is an entire bed in which to sprawl your enormous body out and you lay right on top of me? UGH!!!!

Something else- I like to disappear into my favorite hiding place which is in the bathroom on top of the towels on the shelf, but shhhh, don’t tell anyone! Saturday I am minding my own business taking a snooze when Hurricane trounces into the room and lured into the tub. Big Baby…doesn’t even like a bath.

So he whimpers and cries and BOO-HOO’s then gazes at me with those sad puppy dog eyes and out of the blue. He shakes…and SHUDDERS! And all this spray goes airborne covering me with mist. I may as well have taken a bath myself~

Oh, and another thing since Hurricane’s such an ogre! You will never believe this….he hogs the sunbeams. Yep, right there when the front door is open and the warm rays are shining upon the floorboards Hurricane collapses and steals all the heat. Can you believe that? How dare he be so wicked!

I will just have to reprimand him by cuddling and curling up next to him---the ol’ tyrant! …brothers, anyone want one?

Ahh, I think I asked that question already and there were no takers; CRAP! I guess I'll have to keep him!

Hey! It's me, Angel-Kitty!

Man, I believed I’d never escape that closet.  I was engulfed with darkness so long I feared I might be going blind…scared the beejeebies out of me…did you think I was still in there since it took me so long to reveal the end of my tale?  (see below if you missed the first part of my story...)
Well, this is what came to pass and I’m kind of embarrassed to expose myself. I bellowed for Hurricane to release me and he had the audacity to park himself outside that door with his nose snug to the crack like a hot dog in a bun then proceeded to sigh…I knew he was taunting me and quite euphoric I was wedged in that clandestine space-just gave HIM more room to sprawl out on the bed for his midafternoon siesta.

And there he parked himself- TICK-TOCK! …TICK-TOCK! …TICK-TOCK!
He situated himself safely outside as hundreds of beady eyes of Little D’s stuffed friends stared and gawked at my worries through the blackness. I was taunted and tormented... AND STUCK!

‘WHA-OMP!’   “SCREEE-TCH!’
…ahhh, what’s that? Hurricane? Did you hear that? Don’t leave me brother…

…to that he just exhaled heavier leaving me to hover and scrunch into the nearest corner-
TH-WACK!  THUD!  Ahhhh-go away, go away I pleaded to the noises!

My hackles rose and whiskers erected to heights that cat-apulted me into the swirling abyss engulfing me into a deep catnap. (CAT-do you get it? Me a cat? -never mind…)
Hurricane jostled me awake by the myriad of ruckus he was creating outside the chambers.  In reality, his bark was as unbearable as cymbals crashing in the beginning band. I’m mortified to concede that it scared the pee right out of me.  I WAS in that closet a long time, you know…

But as you figured, I am free relatively unscathed—only rosy cheeks of humiliation compounded by teasing and tormenting of one brother who refused to be of any assistance AT ALL!

…BROTHERS! I’d be glad to surrender mine! Anyone want one?

Hey, it's me- Angel-Kitty!

...still a bit dazed, but intact!

Okay, my Nee Nee told me of the remarks made on my previous story about Hurricane setting off the alarm. If you missed it, here is a link to my last tale.

Anyway, now that the holidays are complete I can finally get back on here and respond and I must say, by the thoughts shared, it seems no one believed me? OR they thought I was being too hard on poor ol’ Hurricane!
Hah, last time I trust you guys to protect me!

At any rate, perhaps this narrative will convince you of my innocence.

It began like any other day; same scenario: humans getting ironed clothes on, lunches in boxes, morning meal eaten ready to head out the door and poor despicable Hurricane gives them those sad puppy dog eyes-you know the ones. Oh my gosh, I am being left all alone in this house with no one to dote on me, booo-hooo.

GeezLouise, who does he think I am? Chopped dog food?
I saunter past the ‘pathetic storm’ and whip my tail in his face…nothing!

I make another attempt. This time when I stroll by I accidently-on-purpose step on his nose… ‘Oh I am so sorry brother! I truly didn’t mean that. Did I hurt you? …truly, I’m really sorry!’~

Zero…nil…nilch~ Heavens to Betsy ‘whirlwind’, ‘Snap out of it’!
WHALLOP! I clobber him on the snout with my paw to get a response and react he did!

…the pursuit begins…OVER, UNDER, IN, OUT, BELOW, ABOVE! Hah, this is so much fun!
That is until I scurry into Little D’s closet to hide and SLAM! ….the door fastens behind me….STUCK!!…'Hey there Hurricane, could you open the door for me brother?’

‘uhhh, did I tell you that you are my favorite brother?  ...yep, love you man...’
Silence….'Hurricane? you out there?'

Hey, it's me, Angel-Kitty!

Hey, it’s me Angel-Kitty!

Heavens to Betsy, you will never believe what happened at our house this morning.

…and it was ALL Hurricanes’ fault!

Seriously, it was-I’m not lyin’ so here’s what went down…

Like every morning, Hurricane and I were summoned to the back door to be given our ‘guilt treats’. I call them that since I know we obtain these delicacies as a result of our humans feeling bad they leave us by ourselves to go do whatever it is they do. They think we’re sad and lonely, blah, blah, blah…but little do they know we perform our happy dance once they pull out of the driveway.

Anyway, true to form Hurricane sat patiently and to anyone watching will display those sad puppy dog eyes cocking his head ever so slightly. Oh PUH-lease…if they only saw him boogie down once they’ve left the vicinity. In any case, the alarm is set and the silence settles.

But ahhh, this day was a bit unusual! I was bored so I sauntered casually into the hallway where Hurricane was dozing. I positioned myself whisker to whisker gazing into his eyes just daring my brother to give chase.

…and we’re off! …up the stairs (I cheated, I scurried through the railings; a benefit of being small!) in the guest room, under the bed, to the TV room-behind the couch, then on the couch! “Awww, I’m telling Hurricane. You are NOT allowed on the sofa!” Next, I head into the closet, under the clothes, through the racks, on the bed and under the bed, down the hallway and down the stairs with my lovely mane blowing in the wind.

PHEW!!! I thought I had escaped when he bounded down the last five steps- “Crap, I think I’m a goner!” However, I find respite on the dining room table-WHEW! I’m safe now; deep breath!

As I take a break I take a momentary look out the window. Ohhh, look at those pretty red and blue glowing lights! Ummm-hey that nice looking man in the uniform is looking intently at our house; hey, what’s he doing ringing our doorbell?

“See, Hurricane? I knew you were in trouble for climbing on the furniture!” Hurricane is so nervous at the sound of the ding-dong his shrill bark raised my hackles although I knew that kind policeman would help me.

All of a sudden, I see Dad pull up in his car and talk to the pleasant officer. When he turns to walk toward the house he has his mad face on; UH--OH! He storms in and shouts, “which one of you set off the alarm?!”

I think I’ll go upstairs now and pretend I’m asleep…

Hey, it's me, Angel-Kitty!

In view of the fact that I was up near the beginning of time this morning I got to the computer first; hee hee! But I wanted to notify you of the mighty-fine award my Nee Nee got for her blog the other day. It was so sweet!

Hah, and that’s what it was called; …the Irresistibly Sweet Blog Award! She received it from her bloggy friend Susan Fields over at well, Susan Fields. You should go check her out.

I understand that upon receiving this honor, Nee Nee is suppose to tell you seven things about herself but that is why I got on here because I want to contribute…this should be fine, right? You don't think she'll get mad at me, do you?  I promise to be nice because well, she does take care of me~

Okay, here we go…

1.) Nee Nee surveys where she places her feet when I am near, especially in the kitchen so she doesn’t squash my beautiful tail. Thanks Nee Nee!

2.) Daddy says Nee Nee can’t hang with the big dogs, whatever that means. All I know is at night when one and all are active; she and I cozy up on the couch under a soft blanket, close our eyes and go into restful slumber…ahhh!

3.) Nee Nee knows where EVERYTHING is…whenever anyone has misplaced or is unable to locate something, just ask her~ and you will find it! She locates my security string every morning and gives it to me!

4.) Nee Nee has a soft belly and a big lap which makes a superb dwelling for an inconsequential cat nap.

5.) Nee Nee has a saying I hear a lot; ‘Things happen for a reason.’ I guess that’s why I waited all alone in that tiny cage for two months with strange people gawking and poking their fingers in my face before Nee Nee and my family adopted me.

6.) Nee Nee talks so soft and gentle to me and never yells. She calls me ‘her baby’ and tells me I am so sweet; maybe I should have gotten this award along with my Nee Nee?

7.) Well, Hurricane may have grabbed the spotlight with his book deal and all that fancy-schmancy stuff, but I think I captured her heart.

Nee Nee is supposed to pass this award to her deserving bloggy friends but I know that she adores all her pals. I hear her say kind things about all of you and your posts, so I think I speak the truth when I say you are ALL are worthy of this scrumptious admiration.

So here’s to you, and you, and oh yes, YOU too!

Hey, it's me, Angel-Kitty again...

Awww, Hurricane’s in Trouble…

Let me enlighten you with the actions yesterday at our house somewhere between 4:00 and 5:00am; how was I to discern it was a weekend? As a rule, since I AM the little sister, I don’t know these finer points in life quite yet because I’m still so young, you know? (That’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it!)

But Hurricane told me to pounce on the bed and sink my teeth into Daddy’s toes- therefore like all obedient little sisters; I do as I’m told. I did! And Daddy hollered at me to go away, ‘It’s the weekend!’

So sheepishly, I park myself on the windowsill and gaze at my birdie-friends. I observe as Dad sits up and rubs his eyes, and all of a sudden I hear this, ‘What the H-E- double hockey sticks!’ I can’t say those words or else I’ll get scolded so I hope I spelled that naughty word correctly.

Nee Nee wakes up of course and I need to investigate what Daddy is referring to and you’ll never believe what I spotted?

OH MY GOSH!!! Hurricane has patches of blue fur on his belly, on his paws, on his head…I giggle ‘cuz he looks silly! He has insignias of sapphire on the quilt, on the bathroom tile….

Then Daddy spots more, well spots…he follows the blue crumbs so to speak underneath the bed which is Hurricane’s hiding spot when he realizes he’s in trouble and sure enough, Daddy discovers the culprit—YEP, OH BOY! OH BOY! …a blue fountain ink pen! And it wasn’t in one piece!

Yes indeed! Hurricane had crushed that writing utensil to smithereens and ink blemishes covet the floor covering. So of course, Hurricane lunges below the surface to hide and becomes yet more immersed in fluid prior to sneaking out which dabs more territory of the room painting a canvas of cobalt.

AWWWW, can’t help but feel sorry for the guy…the tirade of attempting to unsoil the carpet, the bed, Hurricane took quite awhile with a great deal of mumbling underneath Daddy and NeeNee’s breath. Some of the words I didn’t understand but then you know what?

Hurricane is giving Daddy lickey-lickie’s on his face tattling it was MY fault because I hopped up on the night stand and lobbed it to the floor. Can you believe that? …ratted out by my own brother!

I AM SO MAD!! The nerve of him and to believe I felt sorry for him. At the moment I’m in hot water…

Daddy said Hurricane had a grand departing gift; azure smudges on his fur. Well, where’s my parting gift?!

Never mind…I think I’ll just hide up here to hide until the situation blows over.

Anyone want a new kitty? I'm really not any trouble~

Hey, It's me, Angel-Kitty!

Did you think I’d ever get back on this contraption? GeezLouise, I do declare! My brother Hurricane’s writing his memoirs and selling his book! Hurricane-this and Hurricane-that! I now see that being the baby of the family is truly going to impact my self-esteem and I have a gripe. Well, maybe not one, but two or maybe more: I'll keep you posted!

Hurricane walks through the neighborhood and people say things like ‘Oh Hurricane, you are such a handsome boy!’ and ‘Hurricane, you can always come home with us!’ Blah, blah, blah…

Well, take him home with you PLEASE so I can get some peace from all this mumble-jumble about Hurricane. Having an older brother who is quite the STUD is damaging to my self-worth. I have to fight for every morsel of attention and every toy I own; which really, I don’t have a lot.

Did I tell you about my security string? Well, I have these special strings that I just adore. I clutch them in my mouth very daintily, I might add- through the house and WHA-LAH, instant entertainment! Nee Nee and Daddy informed me that there is one in every room of the house and that should be good enough. But hey, Hurricane has an entire basket of toys which are strewn between each room. So why are MY strings such a problem?

I’ll tell you why…that dog steals my strings and does anybody care? NOoooo!

Nee Nee even put my next favorite toy; a wadded up piece of paper (yeah, I know-I have such expensive tastes in play things!) on the end of one of my strings and hurls it across the hardwood floors. I run after it and skate across the room on my bottom; what fun! I proceed to transport it back to her and the process begins again.

UNTIL Hurricane wants to join in and then he captures my string in his mouth and slobbers all over my paper and runs under the bed hiding: CHICKEN!

‘Dang-it Hurricane! Do you have to ruin everything?

Brothers…I have one for sale if you want one! Perhaps I’ll give him to you for a string~

ALL I REALLY NEED TO KNOW…

I LEARNED IN KINDERGARTEN...

Awwww, that’s not true, because I haven’t even gone to Kindy-garden yet. I’m still too little, but seriously, all I really need to know, I learned from my brother Hurricane!

Now, THAT’S true!

In the crack of dawn I recognize to get breakfast REAL early, because every now and then I get a slight rumbly in my tummy prior to the alarm buzzing. So, Hurricane taught me to plop myself down on Big Daddy or Nee Nee’s pillow. They’ll gaze at me to see who is disturbing their slumber then I swiftly give them a lickie-licky on their cheek. Yep, works every time; thanks for that tip big brother.

Next, he teached learned educated me on how to greet my family at the entry after their day out, which by the way, I don’t understand why they leave us. I’m certain if they knew what we get ourselves into during this time, they’d reconsider…HeeHee!

But whoever hears the ‘click’ of the door we hastily leap off the couch as if we had never been on it to begin with because really, we aren’t suppose to be on the sofa, so SHhhh, don’t tell anyone. Hurricane will grab a toy, any toy and I clutch my security string and we sprint to the back entrance. While Hurricane dances, knocks everyone over and smacks his tail into the wall with all his exuberance, I sit calmly like a lady, wait to be caressed and conversed with…ahhh, this feels marvelous!

I go behind everyone through the house, dodge in between their legs as we descend the stairs and nearly trip them, although I don’t mean to. I sit patiently and gawk for just a parcel of food and take a seat at the back door to go outside. But heck, no one ever lets ME go out to engage in recreation! DARN, but I’m still operating on that angle.

The most significant thing I’ve been trained to carry out if I want to claim a first-class spot to sleep, it is imperative I climb on the comforter as they are brushing their teeth and tucking Little Daddy into bed. They say prayers and sing so I have ample time to park myself right in the middle, bathe and feign sleep so no one will disturb me.

They utter, ‘awww, look at Angel-Kitty!’ so I keep my eyes closed while they scootch, scootch scotch ever so carefully under the covers to not disturb me from my slumber.

Ahhh, this is the life.

Thanks Hurricane for teaching loving me~

Hey, it's me, Angel-Kitty~

SHhhhh . . . I’m going underground this day to disappear from that life-size auburn monster otherwise known as my Doggie-brother. Can you see me now?

Well, don’t talk; just listen! I don’t want him to hear our voices and locate us.

I had to creep underneath this throw cushion on my Nee Nee and Daddy’s bed since I woke my Nee Nee up at 3:46 in the wee hours of darkness. . .

Yeah, I know it wasn’t the smartest thing to do but let me explain before you go leaping to conclusions.

I have this string you see. It’s an appealing multihued ribbon actually and I clutch it in my mouth. I rarely part from it because I have on the spot entertainment wherever I go. However, with Hurricane, I rarely get to amuse myself; he’s always bothering me. . . BROTHERS!

You see, he is always tormenting me AND getting me into mischief so this morning when I had difficulty sleeping I dug up my string from the laundry basket. Well, here comes Hurricane with his massive clod-ka-diddle-hoppers trailing me up the stairs. He was approaching so close I could smell his doggie-breath; UGH!

I was afraid he’d nip my stunning tail so I hurdled onto Daddy and Nee Nee’s bed searching for an opening in the covers to hide from Hurricane.

Whew, there was one! . . . So I took a dive inside hauling my string behind. How was I to know Nee Nee would awaken from a sound catnap and imagine there was a bed bug on her leg?

Geez Lousie, it’s not my fault!

Needless to say she sat upright and flung the covers to the floor making a little ‘SCREEEECH!’…

Oooppsss. . . ‘Good Morning Nee Nee!’ I said in my most optimistic voice trying to smile.

UH-OH, it didn’t work!

So you see, I’m just keeping a low profile today and hiding so shhhh, don’t tell anybody I’m here, especially that giant ogre of a brother ‘cause it’s ALWAYS his fault...he's old enough to know better!

to C.A.R.A~

Hi,
It's me, Angel-Kitty.  The orphange where I use to live sent NeeNee and Dad a note asking about  how I was doing. Since they've been so busy and hadn't gotten around to it I decided to take matters into my own hands.

Dear CARA,

Mom said you all had written to ask how I was doing, but golly gee, my new family has kept me so busy I have not been able to get a moment on the computer to send off a short note. At last, it’s my turn on the box; Hurray!

So, let me tell you about family. There’s my Mom and Dad. Mom or Nee Nee as we all call her; and don’t ask me why, we just do! But she is a writer and so whenever she sits at the computer to write, well, I acquire the best seat in the house; her lap! Yessiree, I curl up in a slight ball and settle in for my best nap. From time to time Hurricane, my brother will put his snout into my face to get my attention but I just tell him, ‘HEY, don’t bother me now, can’t you see I’m getting my beauty rest?’ Well, one smack with the paw and imagine that, he leaves me alone!

Speaking of my doggie brother; I have to inform you that he gets the finest food in the house. Whenever he’s presented with his breakfast or dinner, I slide immediately in front of his bowl and begin licking the savory juice. That is such a treat! Hah, he can’t chase me away because my two legged people declare, ‘Hurricane! Leave her alone!’ so I nonchalantly glance back and gaze just long enough for him to catch the smirk on my face.

I feel such strong affection for my human brother Nicholas. His room is decorated in a tiger theme; are you familiar with the fact that I am part of the cat family? Oh, how I desire to grow up and roar like the Queen of the jungle. I am, you know, the princess, so it won’t be long now! Anyway, I sleep most every night on Nicholas’ bed and it sure is warm and cozy.

Oh my Dad, he’s funny and calls me ‘Kitty Cat’ or ‘Little Cat’ which I really don’t mind because it’s kind of a pet name just between the two of us. When I was at the shelter my formal name was Angelina Jolie, which turned into Angelina or Angel-Kitty, and now, well thanks to Dad, I have all kinds of name. When I want to be left alone, well, I ignore all of those surnames!

But Dad gets up early and works in the feeding room on his lap top or reads the newspaper and this is our time to play. I like to plop right down on his box and watch that little line move across the screen. I just don’t understand why I can’t grab it? I also like to take hold of the pencil or pen he’s using to complete his crossword puzzle and sometimes I even bat it to the floor and swipe it across the hardwood. That’s fun!

Anyway, I just wanted to fill you in on some recent happenings here. Truly, it’s never a dull moment! I’m doing great and adore my family, although my four legged brother can be such a pain at times!

I do miss you all but gosh, there’s nothing like having my own family! I pray all the kitties and doggies there at C.A.R.A get a home of their own real soon.

Meow,

Angel-Kitty

The children...

Hurricane as an only child; didn't he look happy?
"In a cat's eye, all things belong to cats."
-- English Proverb

Given the antics performed by both Hurricane and Angel-Kitty since we brought our new little one home on Dec. 23, this is proving to be truer than we could imagine.

First off, Hurricane was not exactly thrilled we brought a cat into his territory and let us know by chewing the foliage on the plants and leaving them in strategic locations of the house; namely in the entry ways and stair landings. So, no matter where you walk throughout our humble abode, AH, gosh, wonder who munched on this leaf?

What's more, he spies the cat and fires up to begin the chase; up one set of steps, down another stair, around the island throughout the dining room and what was once a puzzle on our feasting board, well let’s just say it’s not only on the counter, but on the hardwoods, in the heating grates and God knows where all the pieces are. I presume it’s no longer a 1,000 piece puzzle!

Heavens to Betsy, then when I sit at the computer to write, they both make an effort to claim space on my lap; yes, imagine a 75 pound golden retriever attempting to climb up on one’s lap…well Hurricane does undertake the task! All the while Angel-Kitty is positioned on the desktop looking down on him having a hissy fit pawing at his nose. Lovely, certainly writing will be accomplished while this bedlam is occurring.

The best of all, dinner time! I don’t know where she acquired her courage but she parks herself at the side of Hurricane’s bowl and proceeds to muscle her way to his meal. And yes, we even have pictures to prove it! Imagine that; a two pound kitty influencing Hurricane to move aside and allowing her to help herself to the juices on his food. Then she saunters off with her tail high in the air and gets underway to devour her own chow.

This pandemonium takes place in the midst of our presence. Can you imagine what happens during the times we are at work and school? Geez Louise, get me that surveillance camera!

No, never mind; ignorance is bliss!
