Technology is amazing! Although truth be told, I’m not yet certain how I feel about it, nonetheless, innovative gadgets are here to stay I presume.
I remember being exasperated with my mom for her inability to work her VHS player or the remote control that accompanied her new-fangled television. I recall the thought that reverberated in my head; how can she not stay up with the times? Why is that so difficult?
I can hear you now, why are you telling us this? Well, because I’m partaking in a movement where I will, let’s say, ‘eat my words.’ I declared I wouldn’t put my published book on an e-reader since I acclaim a personal thrill out of holding a manuscript in my hand and flipping through the pages.
AGHAST! I must tell you that on Wed, May 16 my book, Life through the Eyes of a Hurricane: Doggie-Dog! will be released on Amazon Kindle for the price of $9.99. So spread the news and enjoy the endearing and energetic Hurricane on your Kindle.
Don’t mind me, I’ll just be here consuming these parched phrases- and in the meantime a final word of warning, NEVER say NEVER!

How exciting, Tracy! Well, so many people are going to the e-readers now that bookstores all over the county are closing, and you do have to keep up with the times.
Good for you for jumping in with both feet! And even Ralph Waldo Emerson says it's okay to change your mind because you have different info!
Well I am impressed and congrats you techy gal!
Yippie for you, way to go my friend!
Congrats on the book! That's tomorrow! Wow. I'll have to look for it.
I look to my IT hubby for help with gadgets. He's managed to keep up with the times. I try, but become less adept as the years pass.
that's awesome, tracy.
Tracy that is too funny!!just the other night I remembered telling my self and others I would never read a book that I could not touch...and I remembered this as I WAS reading a book from my iPad.
We two peas in a pod
Hugs Cecilia and Madi. Who is also a big fan of my iPad
Awww yay for you Tracy!! Yes, sometimes one must truly move with the times! Sometimes! LOL!!
Aww but great news about your book! take care
x
Congratulations! Great news and well done with going with the times! There are so many people out there who prefer eBooks now!
Congratulations. Yes time does march on.
Congratulations, Tracy! I remember my grade 5 English teacher telling me, "Never say never." The Fates/gods have a way of throwing things back in our faces when we do, with gleeful cosmic humour. :-)
Interesting title....congrat's.
Amen Sista! LOL And congrats on the book!
I struggle through the computer every day. Know nothing about all the latest electronic gadgets. However, my great grandson, is an expert on any of them. He is 7 yrs. old.
Good for you! I may have to end up eating my words on that particular subject, too. Self-pubbing has a whole 'nother reputation nowadays than it did years ago.
Congrats on the book and I'm with you ..Technology is for the birds at times..Wish I' had self published..Susie
Wooo Hooo Tracy! Blessings.
Congratulation on your book going on Kindle. You should be very proud of yourself.
I'm even more technologically disadvantaged than you because I don't even have a kindle. If I GET one though, I will remember this.
Congratulations because in my opinion it's an impressive step!
(I am just learning to text this week. Shh.Don't tell anyone. )
My human Tommy says she knows how you feel bout technology-Tommy often wonders what became of an 8 track player... :) For me, being a smart cat, I think it's COOL about your book on Kindle! Much success!!

Wow! Congratulations - I still don't own an e-reader but hopefully soon!
Awesome news, Tracy.. I am so very very proud of you... That book is really doing well.... When is your next one????
You do have an incredible talent. Keep it up!!!!
YES---we do turn into our mother, don't we????? ha
Hugs,
Betsy
That is AWESOME! Congratulations!

Congratulations on your new book! That's exciting news. I can totally relate to being technically challenged. I ask my seven-year-old son for help!
Congrats on the book! Sounds like an interesting one! I had to laugh about technology savvy or not (me not). I have to have my son or husband put my cell phone on or off vibrate, LOL. I don't even want to think of getting a smart phone :)
betty
I am so proud of you - gee I know a real author who got her book published. Never say never. Love, sandie
Well, congratulations! E-readers and e-books really are the way of the future, I think. The e-books loaned from our library are extremely popular and the download circulation is growing by leaps and bounds!
very nice, and nice to have a teen techie to always help
Congrats on the new e-book--that's exciting!!
I said I'd never get a Kindle or Nook--loved my "real" books too much. But my husband gave me a Nook for my b-day last year, and I love it! Wonder if i can download the book and put it on my Nook?
My husband gets nervous when I'm handling the remote. About all I can do is turn it on and off too! LOL
Ain't it the truth...never say never. But congratulations for moving into e-world with your book. It's kinda cool, you know?
LOL.. I hear you!.. I just sit frozen on the couch until my son can come & help me... :-) Thanks for popping by.
It just means that there are more people out there that want to read your book!
Your story reminded me of a librarian I had at my school when computers were first coming out. She hated having them in 'her' library and she stated that there would never be the day where reading books on the computer would take over reading the actual book in hand. Uhm, think that time has come.....
Congrats on your book, how exciting! I confess I don't have an e-reader.
E-readers rule. So glad you have bitten the bullet. I don't think you will be sorry.
Congratulations! I too struggle with tech stuff . . . I think my daughters both know more about my kindle, the dvd player, etc than I do.
Welcome to modern times! It's scary, I will grant you that, but technology can also be uber cool!
Congrats on your book! I am also technically impaired, and often turn to my husband and boys for guidance. I did figure out one DVR trick before they did, and continue to bring it up whenever possible! Julie
Yeah for you =)
Sometimes eating your words ain't so bad =)
(My niece helped me set up my new clock radio *sigh* how embarassing!)
Congratulations -- and sometimes you just gotta go with the flow... :)
Yay! And here's to a wonderful and successful launch. The cover is so sweet; I want that pup.
Way cool! I have to have my son rescue me from our remote too! :)
Congrats on the book! That is marvelous! It's even more amazing when technology is not your thing. I join those commenters here who admit to having issues as well...I hate having to learn the latest thing every six months. I'm still learning how to simply ANSWER my new phone.
Congratulations. Technology is wonderful once we figure it out. B
Lol! Is this the truth or what. I swear every time I have said NEVER, it is a definite that it will happen. :-) Awesome about your book! Off to check it out. Have a great weekend!
