"C" is for Celebration....

A to Z Challenge:
ABC's of My Life~

Celebrating the life of my boy…

At 8:12am on Easter Sunday, 4-4-99 our little Easter bunny came into the world via emergency C-section; aka-Nicholas Scott Spaine. He weighed 7 lbs. and 7 oz. and was 19.5 in. long. If  numerology intrigues you, doubles abound! When he turns 21 years of age, perhaps we’ll all go to Vegas to commemorate :)

However, we applaud the caring and compassionate companion. He is considerate of others within his world and even those outside his realm of everyday connections. He continually gives of himself in his words, actions and material belongings. He cries at sad commercials and horrendous news displayed on the television; he pleads for reason and offers prayers to those in need.

In my search for his baby picture I spotted a photo of Nicholas at three years of age designing stadiums on the kitchen floor; he’s clings tight to that dream of being an architect as he creates elaborate golf courses, detailed sports arenas and cityscapes. He’s creative beyond imagination.

He is comical, charismatic and courteous. He is calm, capable and fiercely competitive as well as communicative . . . did I ever tell you he continually talked as a toddler to keep himself awake-and still does-sleep is finally upon us when our world has become quiet and still; ahhhh….

Nicholas is all of these qualities and more, wrapped into one cute twelve year old child both inside and out who is truly a gift from God that both his parents cherish deeply!

The things which the child loves remain in the domain of the heart until old age. The most beautiful thing in life is that our souls remain over the places where we once enjoyed ourselves.
