Winds of Change...

I settle into the midst
alongside the mass of
sand and shell fragments
waiting for hopes to select me
or cast me aside.
The particles of debris shift beneath me
 as waves pass
and I linger holding fused visions
of realignment and change.
Every now and then
the winds of transformation
generate a positive resolve
between dreams and reality.

"The doors we open and close each day decide the lives we live."

Great poem, Tracy... I love your thoughts on dreams, change, transformation, etc...

That is an excellent Quote also. Doors are always opened and closed for us along the way. It's all about choices, decisions, faith --and ATTITUDE...

Hugs,
Betsy

Ms. T what a beautiful poem and pictures. That lovely sand makes mom eager to get some sand in her shoes.
Ms. Karen is a math teacher at Apex High. Oh Mom found NH Bookery and she is so excited for several reasons. Your reading and she loves bookstores. She had no idea it was there.
Hugs Hurricane Angel-Kitty and you.

Such a beautiful poem, really "speaks" to me.

I feel like I've spent a very, very long time "waiting for hopes to select me or cast me aside."

Mostly cast me aside, perhaps. :-)

I'll admit that I'm not big on poetry. My mind just doesn't work that way. But, this poem is beautiful. I absolutely love it.
