Instant Replay!

I was feeling particulary melancholy yesterday about the world's trevails and enjoyed reading the comments from everyone. I also agree that sensationalism is alive and well in the good ol' USA, as well as violence perpetrated by video games and movies which is why our sone never gets to play  or watch any of those. Call me old-fashioned but our kid will not have that type of mentality and he doesn't.

Anyway, I recall one of my very first posts being of this topic so I went back and read it and decided since I didn't know most of you, nor did you know me, I would post it again. In my mind's eye, I can actually see God performing this antic and who would blame Him?

June, 2010
As a teacher, this is an extremely hectic overwhelming STRESSFUL time of year! What’s more, the inundation of tasks that need to be accomplished in teaching in a year round school is compounded when one year ends and eight days later, we inaugurate a brand new school year. Both tasks are complicated in their own right, however when the two are combined, life can be enormously stressful. Have I mentioned how stressful this can be? So suffice it to say, I feel challenged to have a few coherent thoughts at this point in time which makes writing taxing in a way it never has been before. Nonetheless, I’ve been waiting for this moment; Saturday to be precise when I can sit and pen the thoughts continually swirling in my head.

One persistent prevailing thought accompanied me on my walk this morning along with the sweltering heat and drops of sweat beads dangling off my eyelids. I was really quite amused at the idea. With all the global atrocities occurring; the Gulf oil spill, the War in Iraq and Afghanistan, suffering incurred by sickness and disease, poverty, the state of our education systems just to name a few in the headlines of today’s news, my question is this…

Does God ever want to make a sweeping motion across the world and declare, ‘DO-OVER?’

*****
Then, a song which is one of my favorites came to mind so here is the link of this lovely lady Charice who is seventeen years old; singing a powerful song... ENJOY~
(I tried to upload the vieo but it wasn't available so please take time to go on youtube and listen. I promise you will enjoy it tremendously!

Hmmm. God's do-over might be the Ice Age? Or the Great Flood (i.e. Noah)?

God did a do-over in Noah's time of life. That big boat must of been a joke to all that saw it~! Until the water came and they all woke up and smelled the coffee...and then God shut the door to the big boat and they all stood outside banging on the door wanting to get inside. God is going to come again another day and I wonder how many people who think we are foolish for believing in God will come awake spiritually and know that it's too late~ at least for that day.
Have a tiggeriffic day~! ta ta for now from Iowa

I think the next do-over is a permanent one. It's amazing that it hasn't happened yet.

A do over may be at our own hands. Today the disruption starts again in another country, Serbia.Talking to someone from Egypt, they had a formative outlook for peace soon.I write a number of politicians, they don't hear our thoughts unless we voice them.

Beautiful video,Tracy. I have never heard of that young lady before. Quite a great voice for someone so young.. And her message is clear!!!!

I asked someone recently what God must think of us now... Yipes---we are not living as God wants us to live, are we?

Do-over??? With God's help, we HUMANS can change the world. But will we???? I truly don't think so... But--if each of us will do our part, it CAN happen.

Hugs,
Betsy

That is an amazing song. I have never heard that young lady sing, she is wonderful. I also wrote about a "do over" a couple of weeks ago. I wonder all the time if He is ever upset with the way we have taken care of His earth. I think it is time for us to listen to what is going on around us and change whatever we can in our own little spot of the world. Really good message today. Thank you!

It's hard to keep a positive attitude sometimes, but we, especially as teachers, just have to and pass that optimism on.

What an amazing song! I wonder about the do-ever. I like to think everything happens for a reason!

Hi there..well, I just looked up the lyrics as someone next to me was watching someting. I think it was summed up quite well- we can't do it on our own. I'd do over quite a bit in my own life too! (lol). But another thing expressed was faith. Well, I think God has done something already- through calvary..thats the key to hang on to because the world may be going down..but his eyes is on the His body and bringing that to completion.
You are right on about the games..it's hard overall. Your image is pretty too~

The song was beautiful. She has a lovely voice. I don't know if God ever thinks about a do-over. I think many of the problems in our world we bring upon ourselves. I have to believe that God is in control and that he has a plan for all of us.

I think the world is complicated by the fact we now know everything that's happening within seconds.
This being said -- it's not a new problem. Wordsworth wrote about it more than a hundred years ago. "The world is too much with us; late and soon..."

That's a beautiful song. Well, it seems we already had a do-over. The flood. And I guess that didn't work out too well. Man wants his own way, sadly.

Interesting concept. How great would it be if we could all just yell "do over!" and correct the mistakes we've made.

We can always do-over, for our God has so much love and forgiveness on us!

It's too bad we don't get at least one 'do-over' in our life-time. But I guess that's not the way life goes huh?

Warm hugs!
