Poetry of Old...

April, 1978

Yesterday
we laughed
in the rain,
We ran and jumped,
we danced
through puddled
in bare feet.
You held my hand.
...that was yesterday.
Today...
it's sunny~

Awe Tracy... Times --they do change, don't they? We all have those times which are 'no more'.... Sometimes that is good--sometimes bad. As I get older, I find myself thinking more about my life and what was or what could have been... But---that is just life, and we need to make the most out of each day--whether it be rainy or sunny...

Great poem... Made me THINK.
Hugs,
Betsy

Today it's sunny,
and cold.
Interesting and smetimes bittersweet how time can change a perspective.

We have a good sun here today. I sure could use some puddles to play in :)

Thought-provoking poem, Tracy. Isn't it funny how your point of view of something can change depending on who you are with at the time and what you are doing.

Thank you for your kind words at my blog. They are much appreciated.

We have one common bond, we're writers. Make that two, we're both in the east in neighboring states. Looking forward to getting to know you better through blog hops.

O.M.G. omg omg omg. I LOVE that poem. It's like... so is the sunny good? Or is it bad? I mean, yes sunny is normally considered good, but what about the puddles and the laughing in the rain?

This reminded me a little of William Carlos Williams. In a very very good way. Thanks for sharing~ :o) <3

Each day brings its own joys, doesn't it?

Did you write this, is it interpretive? I really like it. Because it kind of turns things upside down. It makes the rainy weather seem the best...but then it is only what we make of it, isn't it? Which was maybe your whole point!
