So our category for today is five activities that have been occupying my time instead of blogging!
Okay, I’ll begin: I’ve been…
1.) …cleaning soil remnants off the sill and out of the tub since Angel-Kitty insists on hoeing and raking the dirt out of the plants! I have no desire to take a mud bath! and by the way, don't let the name fool ya~
yeah, UH-OH is right! |
3.) …finalizing one school year and embarking upon another in year round school- so basically, I’m one STRESSED out teacher!!!
4.) …probing for disoriented seashells that Angel-Kitty is adamantly excavating out of the sand containers and hiding under throw rugs. FYI: she’s grounded for life- and perhaps ALL nine of them!
...a glimpse of what I come home to everyday! |
...a good hiding spot, but then we step on the rug and the shells are crushed~ |
5.) …taking pleasure in my boy since he’s leaving for Boy Scout camp on Sunday and will be gone for an entire week-aka SEVEN nights and EIGHT days; UGH!
NOW do you understand why I’ve been absent? I thought you would…

Oh, yes, there's nothing quite like fur kids to keep you occupied...and constantly cleaning. :-D
Love that quote, and oh, it's so true! I think a lot of us are busy doing nothing for much of the time. And even what we think is something really is "nothing" in the grand, universal scheme of things.
Glad you're enjoying your summer!!!
Who would have thought a cat could make as much mess as my two dogs (who are the size of horses) . But you love her anyway right?
Hope your son enjoys camp. What will you do with yourself for a whole kidless week ?
oh, happy camping week to your sweet son!
angel-kitty... tsk, tsk, tsk...
Awwww Angel-Kitty!! You are so innocent!! LOL!!
Awwww I hope you and your son have a lovely time just having fun!! Enjoy! take care

Oh My Goodness...Your post brought back memories of when my NOW "36" year old son went off to boy scout camp...Good memories..he had so much fun!
~~HUGS~~
Uh, hello?? Dirt, Sand, kitty litter--they are all the same to little kitties. :) And while Angel kitty is a "good kitty" for using the litter box, she doesn't understand the fuss over the dirt and seashell sand.
Poor kitty. So misunderstood. I'm with ya, Angel Kitty!!! Aunt Lin has got your back!
Never a dull moment with cats!
Great pic of your son and I hope he has a blast!
Take care Tracy.
Oh, the joys of having a kitty ... they are something else again.
Hope your son has a wonderful camp trip.
Have a great holiday weekend ~

I would like to say that Angel Kitty didn't mean it and yet with my own feline experience, I'm pretty sure she did and said HA at the end of each deed.
In two days I begin my six weeks off before our next school year. I NEED IT.
I'm sorry could you repeat items 1 thru 5, I'm not quit sure I caught them all!! :)
Poor Angel, sounds like the book diva won't play with her. :D

Your son is too cute!!!!! Is this the first time he will have been away?
Handsome scout you have there :)
Oh, does that water slide look FUN!
Now that sounds like a true summertime! Hope the stress leaves you alone soon and that you have time to rest and reflect.
Nope not missing the school thingy at all here, nope not at all.
Love that the cat finds it fun to hide shells from you. Makes me wonder why a cat would do that :o/
I can see why you have been busy, just keeping up with the cat is a job. We had a bluejay for a pet when I was growing up that would take money out of dad's money dish and put the money under the throw rugs. Looks like yours in not as fun hunting for money, you have to clean up the sand and OUCH on the feet.
I hope your son will have fun at camp, I loved it.
What a way to cool off, I bet you are happy to have that pool.
Stay cool, does not look like there is any end in site to this heat and summer just started.
Haha ~ don't you 'love' it when you come home and kitty has left surprises for you? Well, at least it's not a hair ball or anything yucky like that!! :)
I hope your boy has fun at camp ~ though I am sure he will. Now what will mom do all week without him? Hmmmm.....

You must be one special lady, if you taught children with Special Needs. That is hard work but, oh so gratifying!
I bet the smell of those Sea shells were just too darn tantalizing for Angel Kitty to ignore...like it was calling her...
What a darling son, off to Boy Scout camp!! You'll misss him I'm sure! ...enjoy your post!! ...debbie
Love that photo of the pool and the slide! Sigh...
Good thing cats are cute and great lap warmers. It is all they have to off set the mischief.
That scout looks ready to go. Hang in there mom.
I think Angel Kitty needs to go to camp! Do you ever wonder why there are no obedience schools for cats? Or is there? I know your boy will enjoy camp. One of our sons went to camp in North Carolina--over 800 miles from home!! Yikes, how did I survive that each summer?
Best,
Bonnie
So funny about the shells being hidden under the rug! Sounds like Summer will be busy for you and over before you know it! :D
It is much better staying busy. Idle time on your hands is not good. Enjoy your time with the children. In no time, they will be grown.
Angel Kitty cracks me up, what a little dickens.
Hope your son has a great time at camp! Happy summer to all of you. :)
I try to balance my blogging activity with other things, but I really think I need more balance. Sounds like your doing it right.

Tracy thank you for sharing.
Hello, We are home from our wonderful trip... We loved it --but there's nothing like HOME.
Poor Angel Kitty.... Gets blamed for everything!!!!! Such abuse!!!!! ha ha
Glad you love summer. It's my least favorite time of the year. I don't like heat ---but loved getting sun when I was younger...
Your son is really growing up.
Hugs,
Betsy
Buddy is into chewing anything and everything. Hiding things under the rug, so like a cat! :)
Your son has the most beautiful face! I hope he's had a great time at camp.
