"Y" is for Yesterday...

perceptions + quotes + reality =
A to Z Challenge~

The span of our lifetime is a conglomeration of days-
Often connected with what we tag as memories,
nostalgia, or the good ol’ days…
Memories of yesterday loiter within my mind
conjuring up all that was left behind.
Although remnants remain in the rearview mirror,
Yesterday lays the substance of our todays
as the door swings in silence
sealed on our residual times.

"Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift, that's why we call it the present. "

by Winnie the Pooh

Now I love the Y of yesterday - how true all the things you say. And I did not know Winnie was the author of that statement. I love him. sandie

I love the photos! I can really see you and your son in the second photo!

I love the poem, too. Yesterday does form the basis of today, and today is really the most important.

Hi Tracy Sweetie...
Aren't memories the best? I love that I can pull one from the shelf in my mind, whenever I need it, and I can relive it as if it were just yesterday that is took place.

I love Winnie the Pooh as well, and his quote is something that always makes me smile. I actually have Winnie the Pooh tatooed on my right ankle. I smile everytime I look down. Yes I do.

Thank you for sharing today sweet friend. I am so tickled to be your newest follower. Many hugs and much love, Sherry
