"T" is for Think....

perceptions + quotes + reality =
A to Z Challenge~

My mind was prepared with no ‘OFF’ switch; seems I’m always creating, writing and thinking in my head. Believe me, I’m not begrudging my contemplations, I‘d just like to get a reprieve from them particularly during sleep hours.
Therefore, I ascertained as butterflies are released into the air so my thoughts are freed onto paper.  So to get underway, here are three things I think I think… ironically beginning with the letter “T”!

1.)   Tiny Treasures: in my sometimes eventful hectic days, I frequently overlook the abundance of tiny treasures in my life. The riches of my son’s giggle, a mug of my favorite specially prepared blend of coffee delivered to my writing space by my hubby and the kitty curled in my lap. More so the soft out-of-the-dryer blanket draped across my shoulders on a chilly day and scrumptious meals lovingly prepared by my husband who knows I hate to cook; tiny treasures indeed~

2.)  Treading into New Territory: Change, while challenging is good. Shaking things up provides a diverse shade of lenses to view life while also allowing and instigating self-discovery, reflection and rejuvenation.

3.)  Together:  The last two Saturdays ‘my boys’ have run in 5K road races. Scott, my husband has come in third in his age bracket while Nicholas has finished in the top ten in his division. Regardless of the position-their best placement was completed together.

So there you have it-three things I think I think. Well actually, I know…
“We must always think about things, and we must think about things as they are, not as they are said to be.”
By George Bernard Shaw

Lovely post. I can tell your 'noticing' nature informs your writing. And what a great pic of your boys.

I think a warm blanket from the dryer wrapped around your shoulders by a loved one is more than a tiny treasure. You are blessed.

So lovely to acknowledge the treasures (big and small)in your life. Love is made up of the many small things we do for others and that others do for us as well as the ocassional grand gesture.

What a great post - I especially love the tiny treasures. Makes me want to make a list of my own today and reminds me how important it is to count my blessings, however small they seem!

Wonderful "tees."

I slithered into hot slacks from the dryer this morning, which definitely was a "treasure" on this freezing cold, snowy day!

A nice cup of Lady Grey tea in a few minutes, also will be a "treasure." I call those little things "happys." :-)

Kudos to your hubby and son, btw!

I loved this post! Those tiny treasures are so important. Hot coffee brought to you by your hubby, a kitty on your lap--that's the life! :-)

BTW, that's a HUGE treasure that your husband cooks for you! I hate to cook too. I'm going to show this post to my husband and remind him how good he cooks!

Love the photo of your boys! I think it's great they're running together.

You Tiny Treasures, are what I put in my 1000 Gifts Journal. The little things that puts a bright spot in life.

And how great your "runners". Years ago when I was in my 40's my husband and I participated in several "Fun Runs". I would run the 2 mile, and he would run the 10K. It was so much fun. Now that I've lost the weight and exercising 5 days a week...wonder if I could do a 2 mile again.

This is a super cool post. I think it's my favorite. Maybe it's my fav because I am a recovering think-a-holic.

Let me think on that. Yes, I'm an over thinker, too.

My brain keeps going long after my body turns off too! Some nights it keeps me awake. Others ... it's more like it pauses and when I awake ... I just pick up where I left off!

Love that Shaw quote..... My "T" word --I think- I think-- would be TOUCH.... Since I was untouchable when I was younger, I have learned the value of touch these days... I LOVE it---I think, I think!!!!
